For more than 60 years, Aston Business School (ABS) has conducted pioneering research into contemporary business and management issues, making us one of the most firmly established research based Business Schools in the UK. ABS is committed to generating research that makes a sustainable difference to people, organisations and economies; central to our mission is the determination to deliver impact. They work in collaboration with industry, the public sector and the academic community to develop new research initiatives, with a particular focus on applied research that contributes to business excellence, policy and sustainable economic growth and development. The researchers work with businesses to develop tools and interventions that deliver tangible commercial benefits and make a lasting contribution to their success. The research strengths are in the following four areas: 1) Strategic HR, high-performance teamwork and globally relevant leadership; 2) International investment, finance and innovation, 3) Entrepreneurship and sustainability and 4) The practice of strategy, change management and performance management. Success in Europe is evident with exciting recent and current projects such as the Micro-foundations of Entrepreneurial Dynamics – MED and Disaster 2.0.
