With 5,000 students, the EAH Jena (University of Applied Sciences Jena) is the largest among the Thuringian Universities of Applied Sciences. The university, which is part of a network of science and economy known as "the Cluster Jena", is a modern, transparent educational institution. The Ernst-Abbe-Fachhochschule Jena was awarded to be a "Selected landmark in the land of Ideas 2007" and strives for the best teaching, research and working conditions possible.
The EAH Jena Department of Business Administration (DBA) offers specialisations in controlling, taxes, business computer science, economic law, marketing, personnel, accounting, and finance. The research of the EAH Jena DBA takes place in the Centre of Entrepreneurship and the Centre of Regional Innovation Systems, the latter is headed by the professors of economics, Thomas Sauer and Matthias Stoetzer.
