Policy Network is a leading international thinktank which brings together academics, politicians and policymakers to promote international best practice and provide innovative solutions to shared problems. We host a large number of events, from roundtable discussions to seminars and large international conferences, which provide valuable forums for different stakeholders to discuss issues affecting today's political landscape.
Our research activities span a number of areas related to this project. This includes a research programme on the Future of the European Social Model, which examines the political and economic conditions needed to implement a modern social investment strategy in the different EU member states; a research programme on the Politics of Climate Change, which seeks to identify innovative public policies to facilitate a low-carbon economy while helping to promote, not hinder social justice; and a research programme on the Future of the EU which scrutinises different areas of policy-making to determine where new forms of governance are needed to promote growth, welfare and social cohesion in an enlarged Union.
We disseminate our research through edited volumes, as well as papers and essays published on our website, which is a well visited and leading platform for progressive ideas and debate.
