An international scientific conference titled „Imperative of Economic Growth in the Eurozone: Competitiveness, Capital Flows and Structural Reforms” took place on November 26-27, 2015 on the premises of the Mendel University in Brno, Czech Republic. It was the ninth occurrence of this traditional and almost legendary conference, which brings together researchers, academics and institutional economists to present papers dealing with current issues of European economy.

In particular the Eurozone’s stabilisation, structural reforms and Eurozone’s unions – Fiscal, Banking and Political, Competitiveness Transformation as well as demographic challenges were the key issues of the participants’ presentations and contributions to the discussions. 35 papers in total by researchers from Austria, Germany, France, Switzerland, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, the United States and China were presented at the conference.

Special sessions were dedicated to research papers produced within the WWWforEurope project. The topics of the WWWforEurope project papers contributed significantly to discussions – in particular on issues of demographic changes, migration and further integration of Central and Eastern European Countries.
